CAN NORTHSTAR EV SCOOTERS REALLY GIVE 200KM OF RANGE?

Yes, Specific models like Voyager 400 have a customized large capacity battery of 4.0kWh. Under normal driving conditions they have been tested to give upto 200KMs of range. Under heavy load conditions such as double passengers, uneven hilly roads, it can give atlest 160Km range.

WHAT KIND OF LITHIUM BATTERIES BATTERIES DO YOU USE?

We use Lithium-Ion Batteries with NCM/LS3 Third Generation cells. These provide the best mix of performance and life cycle for EVs. They are better than current generation of LFP cells for two-wheels EV usage.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY?

Depends on the scooter model and battery capacity. NorhtStar Voyager 400 comes with a 4.0kWh battery and takes 7Hrs for a full charge. NorthStar Yeti 200 can be fully charged in 3.5 Hrs.

WHAT IS THE LIFE CYCLE OF THE LITHIUM BATTERIES?

On average Lithium Batteries have a life of about 5 years when used and maintained properly. Our NCM/LS3 cells are rated to give 2500+ Cycles EOL; End of Life is defined as Battery Capacity reaching 30% of it’s original capacity when discharged to 70% capacity during each discharge cycle at rated discharge rate.

HOW DO I CHARGE THE BATTERY?

The battery is charged directly from the vehicle.

DO I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE BATTERY TO EMPTY BEFORE I CHARGE IT?

No, it can be charged from any state of charge. Charging before the battery is fully depleted extends the life of the battery.

WHAT ARE THE RUNNING COSTS OF NORTHSTAR SCOOTERS?

You will have no worries about rising fuel prices at the pumps. All our electrically powered vehicles use household electricity. The average cost per kilometre is about 12 paisa per kilometre. E.g., Riding your bike for 100 kilometres would cost you 12 Rupees.

DO I NEED A DRIVERS' LICENSE, INSURANCE OR REGISTRAION?

No, you don’t. For all intents and purposes, it’s simply a scooter that travels at 25 KmPH, saving you time and hassle. The law does require the use of a helmet and riders to be at least 16 years old. Check your local state laws for requirements.
